Paying it forward-ish...Game

Everyone loves a good game...and I like interesting craft projects that have purpose. So, my mission bud, Rachel "Moss" Holman, posted this little "game" on her blog. I participated--so, I'm happily following the rules and offering the same thing to all my fellow blog readers.

The first FIVE people I KNOW to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!

2- What I create will be just for you.

3- It'll be done this year. (might be a little while)

4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be a joke book, autographed picture of myself, handmade bag, or a little invention of my own! I may create you a blog header or paint something for you with my food. (That would be scary). I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows?

5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. Believe me... it may blow your mind! The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Sounds like fun, right?

So let's play!

And--if I don't have your address (and I'm not going to be near your home this year), please get that to me. Send me an e-mail. lindsaymu@hotmail.com Thanks.

Catch Up On The Other Big Events

Hey! I was up to some sneaky Valentines Day plans a few weeks ago--allow me to share what I did for Shaun this year. I designed and ordered these T-shirts from online. (Fun to make--but pricey.) They coorilate with a song Shaun and I have called "We should Jerseys, cause we make a good Team." It's by some punk band--I can't recall at the moment. The shirst say "Team Weldon" on the front and on the back have our name and number. And I even made one for Enoch. (Maybe we'll wear these home from the hospital.) I also made him a SWEET music video to go along with the song. Sorry I can't post it, but if you come over--maybe Shaun will let you watch it. It's only a little romantic.

Next on the list of things to mention is that we have already been blessed with some wonderful gifts and free baby things. Please see the below slightly used bassenett (thanks Carol Chambers and family) that is full of gifts we recieved so far from our friends and family. I suppose I was doing a test run with the clothing to make sure the baby would fit. I must admit, I'm very excited for Enoch and was very proud of my vinette I created with this baby stuff. Close up: you can see the hat and matching shoes I found for $3.00 on clearance. It was the first thing I have bought for Enoch.

Now onto Shaun's 29th birthday!! It was February 20th. We went our ultrasound in the morning, then school and work. We went to lunch together at Bayou on the Bay downtown. Then for dinner we grabbed some mexican food from El Tapateo (roach coach on Meridian at the yellow gas station by the Bellingham Althletic Club) and watched Brian Regan's comedy act we'd gotten from Netflicks.

We ate German Chocolate Cake--which I made from a box--with the Booths and enjoyed the company. (We only put 1 candle in the cake because we couldn't be bothered to use a whole box and a half.) The next day Shaun's parents and sister came up for Saturday and much of Sunday. Shaun had a good weekend. AND--we went out with Steve and Teri Booth to Anthony's Hearthfire Grill on Monday (a gift from them for Shaun's B-day) for dinner. It was delicious and fun to spend some alone time with the masters of the house. (Wink-smile)

Although, if you're interested, Shaun was working on the chicken coop that he's been building in the backyard for the Booths the day before his birthday---and unfournatley injured his right middle finger with the tip of the electric screw-driver. It cracked his fingernail open and he bled a bunch. It seems to be doing better. We hope the nail doesn't fall off. But--now your basically caught up. THE END...for today.

20 Week Ultrasound Photoshoot

So, for those of you who are good at ultrasound decryption, here's our 20 week ultrasound pictures we had taken Friday morning. Unfortunately, Enoch was sleepy and not moving..and made it difficult for getting a clear photo. His hands were blocking his face much of the time. He was facing towards my spine too--so, the angle was not helpful. Hope you enjoy!
His hand is in front of his face. Here you can see the the left leg bent and pushing on the uterus wall--with the other leg right behind it.
This is actually a VERY cool picture of his lips and nose. It actually looks like part of a face in a 3d image. The bone spots on the left are a cross section of his ribs.
Yes--Enoch has 5 toes. (Good for balance.)
These are his fingers doing a weird bendy thing---a bit Star Trek I suppose--but I don't want to mark him with that silly bit of info quite yet.

Baby Head---and even though the skull looks empty--we DID see a beautiful brain developing inside in a different shot.
He's still male--with a penis and scrotum view through the legs shown above.

Check out our videos. He's not moving...but you can see how "stubborn" or sleepy he was feeling. Check out his heart beat!

The whole thing is really very amazing. It was Shaun's birthday on Friday too-- (more info and pictures to be posted later from that event)--so, he had a special treat seeing his son that morning.

Can You Hear It Too?

Dr. Tu showed Shaun how to hear the baby's heartbeat. Watch this! Shaun is really good at this. I hope other daddies-to-be (or daddies about to have one more kiddo) can learn from this amazing technique.

I love him soooooo MUCH!

18 Weeks Pregnant and Bumping Out

Hey, check out my 18 week baby bump! It's cool--unless people think I just ate a baby...hummm...but that's not common enough to worry about. (Few!)

I'm even sucking in as much as I can!!!--But I still see that Enoch has moved into the neighborhood and has expanding space needs.

Hey--and on another related topic. Pregnant women are suppose to eat a healthy diet. So, I picked up this book, "Eating Well When You're Expecting" back when I first found out I was pregnant. Has anyone checked out this lady on the cover? She's NOT what I call the best "drawing" the publisher could have picked out.

She looks so annoyed to be eating a salad. I feel bad for her every time I pick this book up. I was thinking about cutting a smile out of a magazine and MAKING her happy. What do you think?Oh, By the way, a few weeks ago, Shaun and I travelled to Canada to eat Brazilian BBQ food in Vancouver, BC. This rice and beans dish on the plate is FAMOUS Brazilian food, Feijoada with Farofa sprinkled on top. It is awesome and we highly recommend this dish to our friends who have not yet experienced the simplicity and delight this meal can bring! Go to http://www.cookbrazil.com/feijoada.htm for a recipe. (I haven't tried making this recipe yet.)
