Enoch's Sunday Quote- On Nephi

Yesterday, Enoch's primary school teacher and church told me that the quote of the class was from Enoch who said, "Nephi was good because he didn't go into time out." When asked about Nephi's brothers, Laman and Lemuel, Enoch said, "Laman and Lemuel when into timeout a lot!"

Top 6 Songs to Describe Our Relationship...cause I'm tired and can't do 10

Shaun and I had quick courtship...3 weeks...and then a short engagement....3 months...and now we've been married 7 years and are quite blessed to say they have been very happy years. Tonight, after watching a lot of YouTube music videos with Shaun, I asked him if he would be game to put together a list of songs that would describe our relationship. Thankfully, he was willing. So, without any further delay here's....OUR TOP 6 SONGS TO DESCRIBE OUR RELATIONSHIP!

SONGS.... 1. Must Have Done Something Right/ Relient K
As with most things...life seems to lead up to chance happenings, but somehow they evolve into lasting relationships. For Shaun and I, it was love...and this song was one Shaun found early in our marriage and would play for me...and reminds us of how lucky we each feel to be married to eachother. In fact, one anniversary-- I did make jerseys.)

Great Spaghetti Sauce and Homemade Ricotta

HOMEMADE SPAGHETTI SAUCE
(A recipe I found on the internet—that I improved the process/technique of for my tastes)
By no means is this an authentic Italian style sauce. An suspect an Italian would be horrified. BUT-- I have not been to Italy, and it tastes great to me.

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced (to taste)
½ cup celery, minced
¼ cup green bell pepper, chopped fine
2 Tablespoons butter
2 bay leaves
1 1/2 lbs sausage (like a roll of Jimmy Dean) or ground beef (80/20 mix)
½ teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper (more to taste)
6 oz mushrooms (fresh), chopped fine
1 (6 oz) can of tomato paste
1 (28 oz) can of diced tomatoes
2 (10.5 oz) cans of beef broth
2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons dried basil
1 teaspoon ground thyme
1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

In a Year a Boy Can Become a Brother

A year ago, Enoch was an only child, newly settling into Pullman. A year later, he's a big brother with new joys and worries in keeping his little brother laughing and out of his stuff. He speaks well, knows his seasons, has started eating new foods, still LOVES cars, loves to laugh, and is really smart. I love Enoch sooooo much.

More Things You May Not Know About Lindsay

In follow up to a previous post, have some more things to tell you about me.

11. I used to want to be an artist-- and I told my maternal Grandma. At the time I was drawing cartoons. She told me that artists don't draw cartoons. If I wanted to be an artist, I would need to draw a bowl of fruit really well. So, I started to draw a bowl of fruit...and when I was done, she told me it wasn't good enough yet...I needed to shade more. I remember thinking, "Drawing fruit is so boring!" Today, the majority of my art is cartoon-ish--but it's really fun and kids like it.
