General Conference: A Flood of Revelation

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.Today, has been a wonderful opportunity for our family to feel uplifted by listening to members of Christ's restored church here on the earth-- in a meeting called General Conference. We've heard a lot about family, teaching our children, about the atonement of Jesus Christ, keeping the commandments, receiving revelation/inspiration, and why God gives us trials.

I posted a quote I especially enjoyed about children. Enoch, our son, has lately been saying amazing things to us that reminds us of how close to God he really is. For example, Shaun and I went to the temple yesterday and we left Enoch with his cousins to play. We promised to take him to the temple grounds afterwards to look around and really see what a temple was v. a church meeting house. In preparation, we've been singing the children's song, "I Love to See the Temple." His sincerity and delight in finally seeing the Seattle Temple yesterday reminds us of how blessed Shaun and I are that we can go inside now. That we can for us "someday" has arrived. Enoch had us walk around and explain the statues on the temple grounds. It  was beautiful and a special memory I hold very dear. I go to sleep with such gratitude for an eternal family and for a Savior who loves me...and everyone there ever was or will be.

I am pregnant-- 17 weeks currently. So, we have even more family to be grateful for. I am due September 6, 2012.
