18 Weeks Pregnant and Bumping Out

Hey, check out my 18 week baby bump! It's cool--unless people think I just ate a baby...hummm...but that's not common enough to worry about. (Few!)

I'm even sucking in as much as I can!!!--But I still see that Enoch has moved into the neighborhood and has expanding space needs.

Hey--and on another related topic. Pregnant women are suppose to eat a healthy diet. So, I picked up this book, "Eating Well When You're Expecting" back when I first found out I was pregnant. Has anyone checked out this lady on the cover? She's NOT what I call the best "drawing" the publisher could have picked out.

She looks so annoyed to be eating a salad. I feel bad for her every time I pick this book up. I was thinking about cutting a smile out of a magazine and MAKING her happy. What do you think?Oh, By the way, a few weeks ago, Shaun and I travelled to Canada to eat Brazilian BBQ food in Vancouver, BC. This rice and beans dish on the plate is FAMOUS Brazilian food, Feijoada with Farofa sprinkled on top. It is awesome and we highly recommend this dish to our friends who have not yet experienced the simplicity and delight this meal can bring! Go to http://www.cookbrazil.com/feijoada.htm for a recipe. (I haven't tried making this recipe yet.)

Come on... how cute are you with your little belly!?! So, I asked Tim about that girl that you know, that saw our wedding picture, I think you said her name is Shannon. Anyway, she is the cousin of one of the girls that he dated for a while. And I believe she (the old girlfriend) lives in Washington and I think her family does too. I know random... It's a small world after all... especially when you serve on the Square! ;)

Oh, you look so cute with your little bump. Nice to be showing, huh? I hate the "akward" stages of pregnancy! Hi, little guy!

Cute belly!!
I have the other "What to Expect" book and the lady looks ticked on mine too... maybe the wanted it to be realistic..? She was dealing with a little hormone crankines that day..?

P.S. The not so fun parts have started.. I've been feeling pretty queasy in the mornings and at night. I hope it ends soon.

Congratulations on your bump! I don't know about you, but I was excited when I started showing because it made the pregnancy more real. And then she started kicking and then I knew for sure. :)

I am so with you. For some reason, those "expecting" books chose the worst possible illustrator. I think that I'd be more drawn to their books if they put Marge from "The Simpsons" on the cover. These depressed women just look so, so sad to be expecting. They make the whole thing appear to be such a drag. When I bought my prego book, I bought the book "I'm Pregnant!" instead just because it had a real woman on the cover, not a depressed drawing. I told my family what I thought of the covers of those expecting books and they just thought I was nuts...I'm so glad you relate!
