1 Month Later

A month has past since Max's birth and here's a little of what we've done...or looked like during that time. (FYI: Still exhausted. Need more uninterrupted nighttime sleep.)

Birth of Max-- the Story

September 10, 2012

I was over due about 5 days...and I couldn't wait any longer for Max to come. I was thinking about all the family members on the other side of the state and needed a weekend when there wasn't a WSU football game in town. (No hotel rooms) So, at my OBGYN appointment, I was asked when I wanted to have my baby. I responded, "Expeditiously." My doctor called the hospital, who said I could come in immediately.

My Favorite Things (Part 1)

After my faith, family, friends, and air conditioning during the summer...there are some things in my life that I really like and love. I will term them "My Favorite Things" for the purposes of this post, I will share some of the temporal and tangible things that make me more comfortable and delighted. I would love to hear what your favorite things are too!

1. Pretty Family Photos by skilled photographers, such as Courtney Price.  She did ours a year and a half ago in Bellingham, WA, and now I need to find the nearby artist (in Pullman) to capture our growing family's personality.

3 Mimicking 32

At lunch on Friday, Shaun was home and Enoch was feeling especially silly. He started to mimic his dad. Here's what I could catch with our digital camera.

Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous...

[In British Accent] Good day...it is me...Robin Leach from Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, which is --of course--your favorite show to have a sneak peek into the extravagant lifestyles of wealthy entertainersathletes, and business moguls.

Today, we're looking at the fabulous lives of Shaun and Lindsay Weldon!

Baby Progress at 37 Weeks...and Baby Items Wish List

So, I'm 37 weeks pregnant and as of today, am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. The doctor said, "I touched his head." (Me thinks: Coooool!)  So, stuff's happening... :)

We have moved to the always warm-- Pullman, WA. We are getting used to the weather, size, and ingratiation of students every time we go outside or hear music from our neighbor's base level music. I seem to say the next part a lot, but I really like our air conditioning! I like making dinner and not planning it around how much heat it produces.
This is what everything looks like right now.
Last weekend, we finally had the chance to open up Enoch's old baby boxes and start getting ready for Max...who's coming in the next 3 weeks or so. One of the nicest things about having a boy, is having all the clothes already. We also have a swing, burp cloths, bed, glider, mattress, and bottles. BUT, there are a few things we don't have-- or need new ones of. For our interested friends and family, we are putting out what our baby needs are in case you feel inclined to send over a gift and would like to make it something especially helpful. A wishlist follows...

Baby Max--31 weeks and 3 days: The Ultrasound

To unfold the mysteries of pregnancy--and why I haven't gained any weight this time around, I was "ultrasounded" on Friday! (It's an extra time.) Turns out...baby Max is doing excellent, and the mystery of maintaining my weight remains a curious blessing.

Here's his profile.

Shaun Got A Job!: The Chronology/Story

FINALLY IT HAPPENED! A JOB!!
Here's the story...in case you're interested:
Sunday, June 3, 2012
Discouraged at having no luck looking for a job since he graduated college, Shaun asked for a special prayer/blessing from church leaders regarding his job search. He got one.

Monday, June 4, 2012
I pointed out a job lead on Facebook from a friend, Rhea Booth, for an internal job announcement at Decagon Devices-- that hadn't been posted on their website. Shaun sent her a Facebook message and she sent him the official job posting.

Almost 27 weeks pregnant-- and almost in 3rd Trimester

On Saturday, I will be 27 weeks pregnant...on baby #2...Max! 27 weeks = 3rd Trimester....3 more months basically.

I haven't been flashing photos of myself, but I should for record keeping. I went back on my blog to when I was 27 weeks pregnant with Enoch, and my stomach looks about the same size...so, that's good I guess.

Ta Dah! Pretty thrilling, huh!

20 Weeks Pregnant means...20 Week Ultrasound!

We were able to see our beautiful baby in an ultrasound this morning.
It's a BOY...and we've named him Max
So, here's some pictures of him:

2012 Tulip Festival in Mount Vernon, WA

We spent Saturday's better part of the sun in tulip fields in Mount Vernon, WA (about half an hour south of us). We went with our good buddies, the Tuppers! Shaun broke tradition and wore a different shirt than normal. (Normally, it's his Green Lantern t-shirt. Saturday, it was his new yellow "Bazinga" t-shirt-- which references the TV show The Big Bang Theory.)

3 Great Salads we LOVE

We had a graduation party for Shaun on Saturday. We served 3 salads, and had "Make Your Own Pizza."  I've posted the recopies used for the salads below! Enjoy. All are fantastic!! (Chinese Chicken Salad, Orzo Shrimp Salad, & Mediterranean Chop Chop)

One Year Older and Wiser Too...

Today, was my handsome husband, Shaun's, 32nd birthday. What a great day!

I woke up with Enoch and snuck out (without makeup or hair done) to buy a dozen balloons and get Shaun's birthday dinner supplies. We made a poster...and then we woke up Shaun with our joyful singing and balloons.

Special Visitor- KAT!!!

Katarina Mollerstrom, my gorgeousness missionary trainer from Sweden (currently residing in Denmark), came to visit our family this past weekend. It was a wonderful visit because we were able to connect and talk about a lot of important things in our lives. I am still tired from staying up late talking. :)

She arrived on Friday night. In the morning, we took her to Bellingham's famous- "The Bagelry." She had a Lox and Cream Cheese bagel. Enoch refused to eat his...so she got to sample the strawberry cream cheese too.

Zoo

We took Enoch to the zoo for the first time on the first Saturday of February. It was a beautiful sunny day....and a lot of other families had the same idea. Despite the crowd, we had a great time. Here are a few pictures....
